absa wasn't such a bad idea

i think i have more friends on facebook now then i do in real life =)
my hectic life is slowing down... just gotta catch up in ochem and in ba324 and i'm lookin pretty :D.... but when am i not lookin pretty

I used to go to math competitions in middle school (and into high school a little bit too, actually), and one of the events was a Team Test (I think that's what it was called). Three friends and I would work on answering as many questions as possible. Since all groups contained four students, and everyone's names would not fit in the "NAME (LAST,FIRST)" box of the Scantron, people made up names for themselves. I remember winning a trophy as a member of the Cubic Squirrels, and while I was part of Sir Cumference, and with the Brass Monkeys...
But the best ever was when we bubbled in our team name as "I CAN'T READ THIS."
Hours later, during the awards ceremony in the cafeteria, the announcer lady read the results. "Second place goes to the Klein Forest Eagles. First place goes to... uh... I can't read this."
There was a long pause, during which countless heads in the audience turned and mumbled to each other. Suddenly (and without warning), my teammates and I jumped up and yelled loudly, cheering for ourselves as we ran towards the stage.
-- only thing is i dont remember winning first... but i thought of that name! stupid stories of funny memories are good for you

last night after my accounting exam i got a call
"Hey tri, i need you to play in a halo match tonight"
haha. good thing i dont have any of those games installed anymore =)

this morning i woke up around 8:30, threw on a tshirt and ran to class with blazing efficiency... cant miss my mandatory class! i bet he still counted off, but at least i showed effort.

last test for me for awhile, soooo that means i can cook once again!
no more hot dogs and burger king all the frickin time.

in the face of my failure i wans't too excited about the concert last night.
dinner con the rhomantix + friends was nice. thai noodle wheee.
we then chilled before the show.
9 people in a small suv goin to the show! kristy pam robert travis me cindy (who is awesome) ann booher and catherine ... crazy
okkervil river didn't impress me much cause i'm not into that lo-fi shtuff, but it was pretty enjoyable. their trumpet player was really good. beautiful timbre, well played. the irony is that he was smoking the whole time. he would hold his trumpet up and in that same hand be holding a cig between his index and middle fingers. during his rests he would be smokin and jammin'. thats done fucked up. oh well he still plays well.
however, zykos. ahhh. i wasn't excited, but they rocked. last time i saw them i was like wow they are so talented, and play so well together, and last night reaffirmed that. I had forgotten! catherine and booher are really nice. catherine rocks the keyboards and that drummer is damn good. he didn't do much flashy shit, but u he's doin the little things well. hope their tour goes well and safe. understanding fire with the combined might of zykos and okkervil river was awesome. that trumpet added a lot of color :D :D :D. twas a treat. new cd is good. buy it.
