rilo kiley + tilly and the wall
ppl that went with us : j.prit, mandy, patrick, jen, xuan, xuan's asian friend
ppl we saw : sharen, eric, miss cindy rho, jeanie, nida's old roommate carrie, her mean friend, 4 lesbians grinding to rk, a drunk guy sopping wet getting pushed and poke from every direction by strangers :D
i know a ko was there, but whereeeeee so sad :o(
tilly and the wall wow, i was suprised. the harmonies were far from clear and perfect, the sound wasn't perfectly together, they didn't sound polished... but for once NONE OF THAT MATTERED. a band, drummerless, forced to use beats from an ipod, using the gimmick of a tap dancing girl keeping the beat... sounds horrible. but it wasn't horrible, it was fun, and they used all that to create charming music. oh how a purple and yellow moracca, beats from an ipod, a tap dancing girl, two cute singers, and two guys on instruments can draw you in so much.
Rilo Kiley- they broke my heart by not playing spectacular views... but other then that they were great, just as expected. the guy in front of me yelled out SALUTE YOUR SHORTS, and i followed that with a i love you penske... he was like "thanks for remebering", they put on a really good show. played all the other good songs, the best stuff from more adventurous, except they played ripchord, which is pretty lame in itself, but eh it was alright live.
the elected = very ehhh.
the rain ahhhhhhhhhh. walking to the car in it wasn't so bad, but i wanted a poster and couldnt' get one :o(
gotta wake up to volunteer tomorrow... hope its not rainin. good day.
